West Bend Community Gardens

Each year the Washington County Master Gardeners plant a vegetable garden at a community Garden site in the West Bend area. The purpose of this garden is:

  • to educate the community in gardening practices,
  • to offer assistance to other gardeners,
  • to demonstrate a variety of gardening techniques,
  • to provide fresh vegetables within our community

The planning, planting, maintenance, and harvesting of this garden requires many volunteer hours and Master Gardeners are always needed for this work.

Our garden plot is located behind the Community Church of West Bend, 2005 S. Main St. in West Bend. With a large 20’x 20′ plot and ample water on site, we are able to provide plenty of fresh garden vegetables. Last year, these were donated to the West Bend Senior Center and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the upcoming year.
