2019 Master Gardener Training Program

The training will consist of twelve consecutive weekly classes held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. from February 7th through May 2nd. Space is limited and the registration deadline is January 14th. The cost of the training is $150 per participant. The twelve weekly classes will be held at the Public Agency Center at 333 E Washington Street in West Bend. More details will be available with registration.

 

The training will address a variety of horticulture topics including soils, botany, entomology, plant pathology, houseplants, landscaping, turf, vegetables, fruits, and ornamental plants.

 

To help you decide if the Master Gardener Volunteer Training is right for you, an informational meeting will be held on January 17th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. It will take place in Room 1113 in the Washington County Public Agency Center at 333 East Washington Street, West Bend. Please enter the building’s south entrance from the Indiana street lot. Attendance at this meeting is not required but strongly encouraged. Please let us know if you are attending.

To register we will need the registration form, a signed volunteer agreement, and a consent for a background check. Please call Alan Linnebur at the Washington County UW Extension Office at 262-335-4477 if you have questions or need assistance.

You can mail your registrations ahead of time with payment to the UW Extension office (address below). You could also plan to bring them with you to the information meeting which coincides with our January 20th registration deadline date.
